This summer, our BFF Summer All Stars program gave our Grounded for Life high school students an exciting opportunity to strengthen their academic skills while building confidence, friendships, and unforgettable memories.
Inspired by the excitement of the FIFA World Cup, we transformed our BFF office into an international celebration featuring Canada, Mexico, and the United States. Students embraced the spirit of teamwork and friendly competition through engaging, workshop-style learning that blended education with creativity, collaboration, and plenty of fun.
As they prepared for the upcoming school year, students sharpened essential academic skills through text annotation, GPA tracking, and lessons on the Declaration of Independence in anticipation of America’s 250th birthday. Every activity was designed to help them start the school year feeling prepared, motivated, and ready to succeed.
Of course, summer wouldn’t be complete without fun! Weekly icebreakers, team-building activities, and themed lunches kept everyone laughing, connecting, and cheering each other on while creating a strong sense of community.
Our Summer All Stars are heading into the new school year with stronger academic skills, greater confidence, and the tools they need to thrive. We couldn’t be prouder of everything they accomplished this summer and can’t wait to see them shine, reach new milestones, and crush their goals this school year!
