The highlight of summer 2011 was presenting Manny Oliver with the first ever car giveaway of the Strive to Drive Challenge. Manny, a former foster youth, received the donated car from our partner, Offlease Only, South Florida’s largest volume used car dealership.
Although Manny grew up in foster care, he has made tremendous strides in his life. He currently works for DCF and is an active participant in Florida Youth Shine. He often advocates and speaks on behalf of youth in foster care all over Florida.
The Strive To Drive Challenge helps former foster youth achieve self-sufficiency and rewards them for their efforts and motivation to remain committed to completing their education. Offlease Only has generously pledged to donate one care per month to a deserving individual. We are so grateful to Offlease Only; they are truly changing lives.
