The kids in our program enjoyed our back to school lunch, Burgers, Fries and School Supplies. It was hosted and donated by Duffys on Clematis, and they did a phenomenal job. The mayor of West Palm Beach, Jeri Muoio, welcomed our kids and shared wonderful words of wisdom about being prepared in life, and talked about how being educated made you prepared. It was inspirational!
Every student was able to make a Dream Board. They chose images and words that meant something to them, or represented something they wanted to have, or a place to visit….they created a collage with the images and words which we put in a frame for them to keep. They seemed to truly enjoy the project and were proud of their creations.
We appreciate the volunteers who came to help at the lunch, as we couldn’t have done it without them.
We are off to a great start for this school year!
