Caren Sollod

Grounded for Life Program Director

For more than a decade, Caren Sollod has dedicated her efforts to making a difference in the lives of children. Starting in the public school system in some of the most underserved communities in Los Angeles and Miami, this former teacher has been an educator, mentor, and inspiration to those from difficult circumstances. She is skilled at the art of motivation, goal-setting, and helping those who might otherwise fall by the wayside recognize and achieve their full potential. As a program director at Best Foot Forward, Caren’s dedicated and compassionate approach make her an ideal person to help improve the lives and educational outcomes of foster youth. Caren is certified as a Youth Mental Health First Aid Provider and is trained in both Trauma Informed Care and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).
