The BFF team gathered to prepare for another successful academic year. In addition to brainstorming, collaborating and setting goals at our all-team meeting, we attended a Trauma-Informed Care training. These trainings are an important way to stay up-to-date on the latest research and best practices.
We learned that a child’s first 1,000 days are the most crucial for the development of their body, brain, metabolism, and immune system, that you have to connect BEFORE you can correct, and about the acronym WAIT, which stands for “Why am I talking?” Trainings like these give our coaches the insight and skills they need to provide more personalized support, leading to increased student success and achievement.
We would like to thank Graham Perkovich from Centene Corporation for giving our staff such valuable tools to use this school year.
Our team feels confident and ready to empower our students to reach new heights!
