Holiday time is a busy time at BFF with events, and also with our kids. We have a few students who are going to be adopted this month, which is simply incredible! We have others that will spend another holiday in foster care, and while they may not be with their families, they are an important part of our BFF family and we try to make the holidays as special as we possibly can for them.
Our holiday party is one of the things that we do for our kids, and it is an extraordinary event filled with warmth, caring and thoughtfulness (and Santa, of course!). We strive to make every single child feel as special as they are. We also have our BF ELF program that gives every child the chance to experience giving during the holidays, something that is incredibly important to them. You can help by becoming a BF ELF and purchasing one of the gifts the kids selected (Click here for the link). There is so much more, and if you are looking for ways to get involved this holiday season, we would love to have you.
This Thursday night, The Inner Circle is hosting a toy drive at their networking event from 5:30-8:00 at Pinon Grill. No RSVP needed- everyone is welcome! The next day, on Friday we will be organizing the donated toys at our office, and we will also be at Barnes and Noble on Glades Road wrapping gifts, to help spread awareness of our mission and hopefully earn some “tips”. What a busy day!
We will be wrapping presents on December 15th, 18th and 19th, and you can help with those too! Just sign up here to volunteer. Please know that everyone is welcome and every hour is appreciated! Thank you for helping us make the holiday season something for the kids to remember!
