Best Foot Forward is dedicated to changing the lives of the children in foster care in Palm Beach County! Every week we meet our students in their schools and we show them how to review their grades, teaching them what each assignment or test means so they understand the effect on their grade. Together we organize their papers and review their assignments. We talk about tests, and if they were hard or easy, and if they studied or not. We give them ideas of how to study and ideas on improving their test taking skills. The students learn to communicate with their teachers in a respectful and effective manner, giving them self advocacy skills. This is just some of what we do and it is EMPOWERING to a student.
