Juan Awad serves as Market Leader for Palm Beach and Treasure Coast for Florida Blue – the state’s Blue Cross and Blue Shield plan. As part of the regional executive team in South Florida, Awad is responsible for developing, leading, and executing the company’s strategy in 5 Counties.

Juan has more than 25 years of health care experience. He served as a hospital CEO for Ochsner Health, a leading integrated healthcare system in Louisiana. He spent most of his leadership and professional career at Baptist Health South Florida, where he held several leadership roles. He began his career there as an Administrative Fellow.

He holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in health services administration from Florida International University. He also completed Executive Education – Dynamic Management training at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. He is also a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and served for many years as a board member of the South Florida Healthcare Executive Forum, a local chapter of ACHE.
