All rise! For children in foster care, court proceedings are a part of life. The primary role of the court is to protect the child and to ensure they are in a safe environment. Court can be intimidating and unsettling, and it has an impact on the child. Part of our ongoing training is to observe court several times a year so that our coaches have a thorough understanding of that part of the child’s very complicated life.
