Jamie Wyatt, a dedicated educator for over 30 years, is passionate about serving students and families. Throughout her career, she has been committed to establishing a high-performance culture that guarantees “All” children will receive an equitable high quality, rigorous education.
Ms. Wyatt served as principal for 15 years at five diverse schools, in both the Indianapolis and Palm Beach County Public School Systems. She led three schools to making Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP), led one school to the “Top 20” performing schools for African American students’ achievement in math, led another school from a “B” to an “A,” and led one school to becoming a “National Model School of Rigor.” As an Instructional Superintendent, Ms. Wyatt provided executive leadership for 16 diverse elementary schools, with over 12,000 students. She successfully provided coaching and support to individual principals and identified areas in need of improvement, which led to significantly improved student achievement. In that role her focus has been on working with school leaders to ensure that their school centers are culturally and socially responsive and that all students have equitable access to resources, advanced coursework and opportunities.
Ms. Wyatt has recently moved into the Chief of Staff position for the School District of Palm Beach County. As Chief of Staff she is leveraging past experience of interfacing and collaborating with south region community entities and municipalities to foster long lasting sustainable partnerships district wide. In her new role she is most excited about collaborating with multiple district departments, school leaders, community partners and municipalities to ensure that the School District of Palm Beach County is providing the highest level of service and support to our students, families and staff.
Ms. Wyatt enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys and playing tennis, pickleball, running, and snow skiing in the winter.
